For Our Out of Town Patients
We have many patients from out of town and out of the country who wish to see Dr. Stan Castor and consult with him regarding their Plastic Surgery goals and wishes. We are happy to see new out of town patients at Artisan Aesthetics Plastic Surgery & Laser Center and have your recover in beautiful Tampa Bay. It is our pleasure to work closely with you prior to your arrival and follow your recovery process while you are here and once you have returned back home. Step 1: Consultation
- Fly in for a consultation. This would be preferred, but we realize it may be difficult due to time and cost constraints.
- Virtual Consultation. If a Fly-In Consultation Is Not Possible, for your convenience, we offer Virtual Consultations.
To begin your Virtual Consultation we ask for you to complete New Patient registration forms and email several photos of your areas of concern. The photos are emailed to a secure server and will be viewed only by Dr. Castor and the Surgical Coordinator. Dr. Castor will then make an assessment and customized treatment plan with a written quotation of all fees involved. The cost will vary by the procedure you desire, and the complexity of your individual case. Pamela Ammon, surgical coordinator, will contact you by phone or email to schedule a telephone conference with Dr. Castor. Alternatively, a video conference using Skype can be done if you have a web cam and wish for Dr. Castor to be able to view your problem areas directly.
Step 2: Scheduling
Your surgery date is first selected and then your pre-operative date is scheduled, typically 1 to 2 days prior to the surgery date based on Dr. Castor’s recommendations.
A non-refundable scheduling and booking fee of $500 is collected with the final payment being due in full one week prior to the surgical date. A pre-operative packet will be emailed or if you prefer, mailed with pre-operative information and informed consents for your review. We will review the paperwork and any related questions prior to or at the pre-operative appointment.
Any lab work or diagnostic testing will be coordinated prior to arrival.
The pre-operative appointment typically will last 1 hour. During this appointment, we will finalize your custom rejuvenation plan, review consent forms, review pre/postoperative care, take pre-operative photos, and schedule your post-operative appointments.
Step 3: Surgery
Your surgery would be performed at the Brandon Ambulatory Surgery Center, a fully accredited outpatient surgical center with board certified anesthesia doctors. Alternatively, some procedures can be performed in the Tampa Palms office under local anesthesia and sedation. Due to the anesthesia, you will need a driver. If you do not have one, we can assist you with transportation to your hotel and home health care if you desire.
Step 4: Recovery
Depending on your surgery, plan on staying in the Tampa Bay area up to 10 days. Dr. Castor will discuss with you prior to your surgery, if your stay may be less. Minor procedures such as liposuction, VASER, and LipoControl only require an overnight stay. Dr. Castor will see you post-operatively every two to four days following surgery.
Step 5: Virtual Follow-Up Appointments
We will arrange standard follow-up appointments via phone, Skype and or email with most patients sending post-operative photographs for review prior to the follow-up appointments.
Our job is to make you feel at home. While our first concern is the utmost in medical care, our team will be happy to coordinate a comfortable relaxing stay here for you and your family while in Tampa.
In addition, we have nurses and medical assistants with over 15 years experience available to assist those with one-on-one personal care. We can adjust to your schedule to check in on you periodically or stay with you overnight.
