Sculptra Aesthetic Tampa - The Procedure Benefits

Sculptra® gives you natural looking results because it’s your body that is doing the filling of hollow areas and lines and creases. It is doing so by producing new amounts of collagen. This is different than simply injecting volume beneath a crease.

This also delivers longer-lasting results. Because your body is creating new collagen, this continues for months as the body slowly absorbs the PLLA. That’s why Sculptra® can basically double the duration of its results compared to typical dermal fillers.

What Are the Side Effects of Sculptra®?

  • Formation of small lumps.

Eventually, all these issues pass quickly. In short, if you’re wondering about poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra Aesthetic Tampa - The Procedure Guide

How Does Sculptra® Work?

The surgeon conducts the Sculptra® Aesthetic procedure through a series of injections with up to three sessions performed at about three-week intervals. Then, during your session with Dr. Castor, Scupltra® Aesthetic will inject into the deep dermis of your skin at the desired areas. Subsequently, there will be a temporary disappearance of the wrinkles immediately. Until the ingredients of the injection are absorbed into the deep dermis, giving you a temporary “preview” of the long-term results that are to come.

Once absorbed into the dermis, the ingredients of Sculptra®-which include poly-L-lactic acid. Later, it will begin to rebuild collagen and create a strong underlying skin structure. You will gradually see results over the next several months as your body continues to replenish collagen. It also creates more fullness in your face and smoother and radiant skin.

How to Prepare for a Sculptra® Session?

Sculptra® is injected more deeply than other dermal fillers, down into the dermis layer. That’s because the dermis layer is where the body produces collagen and Sculptra® intends to boost your collagen production where injected. Before your injections, we provide local anesthetic at the injection sites, depending on your preference. That makes these injections basically painless.

How Many Sculptra Sessions Will I Need?

In reality, Sculptra is unlike other fillers for the skin. It gets injected deeper into the dermis layer. However, the injections happen in a series of three sessions. Finally, these sessions take place over three to four months. Besides this, it triggers the collagen-building mechanisms in the dermis layer, and each subsequent session builds on the previous session.

How Long Does It Take Fur Sculptra to Work?

Sculptra® doesn’t add initial volume like typical dermal fillers. As noted above, Sculptra® has some initial plumping due to the gel that is used the deliver the poly-L-lactic acid, but this is a short-term event that passes as the gel spreads under the skin. The PLLA stimulates the production of new collagen, and that’s where Sculptra® actually does its work. This takes about two weeks to fully take effect.
